MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Review (and comparison with HD600 and K701)

I don't feel qualified to answer that question since I no longer own the Alpha Dogs and ER-4S. However, I'll just say that the Alpha Dogs has more tactile bass from being an over ear headphone but the ER-4S might have better speed and neutral tonality.

The worthiness of the extra $300 will depend on what you value in a headphone. If you want better bass then perhaps it is worth it.

I see.  Would you be able to remember if the sound stage was significantly better over the ER4S?

In comparison to the MDs or the ER4S in regards to better bass?

I'd say that the AD has a wider soundstage over the ER4S. I believe it has better imaging too.

I never heard the MD, I'm speculating that the AD has better bass than the ER4S from memory.

My pair of AlpaDogs get's a lil bit crunchy in the 500khz(i only say 500 because if i drop that slider down a cppl db it goes away) range at high volumes. Has anyone else noticed this???
