Thanks for the advice! I wonder if the Bifrost Multi is worth the price difference of the Modi Multi in the sound department? There is about an 80% chance that I will probibly never upgrade the Bifrost if I would have to send it back to Schiit to do so like people had to do to upgrade to the multi due to firmware reasons.

I can't answer your question about Bifrost VS Modi, but my advice is to buy what fits into your budget.

Since the Modi is less than half the price of the Bifrost, I may just try it instead. I don't know what I would be missing with the Bifrost anyway and the Holidays are about to hit my pocket book! LoL

I just bought a Magni 3 and Modi 3 to replace my first generation Modi. My computer stopped recognizing it and would not boot while the USB was plugged in. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

i just got one of these coming. paid 280 canadian shipped. i wonder these are still good in 2019. seems pretty rare and hard to find now. if i like these better than the XC i have and i'll get rid of the xc. i read some reviews and some people seem to like the older mrspeakers than the newer stuff.

Just got the headphones. listen through hifiman 802 first and completely no power at all lol. i am going to go home and try it on the audiogd 10.32. maybe pick up a balanced cable for this later.

looking at the tuning screws the left side i can see the screw about halfway in the hole and right side screw is not stocking out through the hole. is that normal? i thought they should be equal.

so, my girlfriend took the time to listen to the Primes. She chose 'Stairway to Heaven', since she knows it so well.

Within 5 minutes, she was in tears. "It's like they're in the room!"
