They have since brought a new version out called the Signature edition.

Yup, but the good news are that if you'd like to narrow the performance gap between your original Pro iDSD and its signature version, iPower Elite will get you there

Is that the only difference?

Is that the only difference?

Pro iDSD Signature also features several higher-grade components that impact its performance, but addig our iPower Elite to its non-Signature version makes tehm very close. Hope this helps, thanks!

Sure thing, please let us know your impressions once you do, thanks!
One question. If I buy the pro signature. Can I connect it directly to active speakers? if yes can you please tell me the output voltage from the outputs(XLR)

it is not specified on the specs, only for headphone outputs

Sure, Pro iDSD can work then either as a DAC or DAC/preamp combo for your active speakers and its XLRs output 4V. Thanks!

That's got a higher gain than my 2-channel power amp (28x is average for 2-chan power amp) - kind of ridiculous don't you think?

This is absolute overkill in terms of wattage. I'm driving my susvara perfectly fine with soloist gt. And also power doesn't necessarily translate well in sound.

If you need a lot of power for your headphones and don't want to spend a lot of money, the Emotiva Basx A-100 is still
the best deal out there for about $250 delivered. It was recently replaced by a new Emotiva integrated/headphone amplifier
(The Basx A2M), that is basically a cosmetic upgrade of the A-100. It costs just under $100 more. Still a real bargain for use with many
planar magnetic headphones.
