What are the most detailed, airy, bright headphones for Zune unamped? Preferably under $150.

AKG ATH AD700. Grado. Alessandro. they all bright, airy sounding headphones. And very open (means they leak sound in and out, no isolation at all)

edit: wrong brand, dizzyneed more sleep

Don't you mean Audio Technica AD700? What would be the best all-arounder bright, airy, detailed headphone? I am not a big fan of rock.

Ops, yes, I mean ATH AD700 (shame on me). Well, if not rock-hardcore then go for ad700. But the bass is rather thin though. but it has a very precise positioning (separation) and wide soundstage. Other choice is Senn HD555. Less bright than AD700, bit more bass, bit less wide soundstage. Other...... I can't think clearly right now, lack of sleep (I got insomnia this week, been 3 days with lack of sleep). Maybe others will chime in. Sorry if not helping at all.
Btw, AD700 is open headphones, and very big, so not portable. Its very comfortable though, even for big-head like me

So the AD700 has a very good soundstage, good all-arounder with all genres of music, bright, low bass, and sounds great unamped? Is the detail as good as Stax and other detail monsters?

If you mean by low bass is the bass quantity isn't much, yes you're right. This cans isn't bass monster. I never heard stax, I generally staying away from high-end systems (my only blunder is listening to HD600 with some hundreds dollars amp) because I can't afford to tempted by them :D, so I don't know how good it is compared to other detail cans... sorry can't help you there.

What is the GMP 4.35?

neither of those are under 150...  but they are nice choices.

any grado or the AD700 is a good idea.

Clearly they don't have as much detail as stax, they aren't even the same technology.  If dynamics could sound like stax, then no one would bother with stax.  Stax aren't exactly bright though, they are pretty smooth.

Fostex T50rp could be good if you dampened them to be really bright and airy, which isn't hard to do because it just means overdamping them.  But they are a bit hard to drive though.  They still might sound better to you than grados or the AD700 even with nothing but the zune, they just wouldn't be close to their full potential.

What do you mean by "dampening" them? So the Fostex T50rp would sound better and pull out more details than Grado or Audio Technica? And also the Alessandro?
Also, I have read that the AD700 have a very recessed midrange...

I think he means taking out the foam... so it would be the opposite of "dampening". Being a planar magnet a.k.a. orthodynamic headphone, they are much harder to drive than the other dynamic phones at this price range. Unless you want to get an amp, dont consider those as they will sound very thin out of an ipod.

Would the Grado SR80i work for me? Would they sound fine with any type of music that doesn't have much bass? Are they super detailed?
