My gear: Fiio X3, SanDisc Class 10 SDXC, OS 1.25, German language

In folder view my Fiio X3 doesn´t display the artist´s folders from the SD card  any more  beginning with "A" and "B". The Folders beginning with "_"are accessible as well as all other folders from "c" to "z".

I wonder when this happened because I´m pretty sure that I´ve allready listened to Beyoncé e.g. with my Fiio X3.

how many sub folder in there? the current firmware only support 256 sub folder and the new firmware will fix this bugs, anyway, the more sub folder , the slowly X3 will be. so we suggest you can separate to several folders.

My micro sd card holds 292 artists-folders with one to twelve album subfolders. A handful of album folders have one to five disc 1 to disc n folders.

Have u try update library? Hope it works.

Yes, I have. But I think it´s needless, because I use folder browsing and playing. I don´t use playing the music via library or internal database at all.

can't open the second photo. from the first photo, did you format the TF card in exFAT ? maybe you can try to format it to FAT32 first.

another way to confirm the reason is , you can remove some folder first , for example, keep only 250 folder in the card . I think the reason is the total quantity of the folder in the same level exceed the limited of X3 which can only support 256 folders or sub folders right now.

we are testing the new firmware and fix the bugs and X3 will support maybe more than 6000 folders.

Although the name of the card is 64exfat, it is definitely formatted "FAT32".
X3 recognized it properly: "System Settings / (Info / Storage) / External Memory: 59.4 GB Available: 25.3 GB, FW1.25EN

I wonder why you can´t access the second screenshot. Microsoft seems to have issues too with their skydrive software

It shows my three-level-folder-structure, nothing more.

It is ok, but I think the problem is caused by the quantity limited about the maximum folder in current firmware. would you mind help me confirm it by remove some folder first , all maybe you can manage the music as

---Folder A
   |---A xxx
   |---B xxx
   ...........

----Folder B
   |---R xxx
   |---R xxx
   ..........

The new firmware will fix the bugs

James, that´s the solution! I rearranged my music in max 6 levels by introducing a new top level folder named by alphabet. Now it is like this:

SDCARD / A
/Alanis Morissette
/Alanis Morissette/Alanis Unplugged/
/Alanis Morissette/Alanis Unplugged/01 Hands Clean.mp3
/Alanis Morissette/Alanis Unplugged/02 ......
/Adele ....
B ....
...

Every of my 291 folder is anow accessible by folder browsing. The indexer doesn´t get the music from the card but I´m pretty sure that your good work and improvement of the Firmware will fix this and other issues too. Thank you for your excellent support! Dirk from Germany

the best format should be fat32, we have not met the problem with FAT32 in MAC but please report to us if you have problem.

BTW, to upgrade the firmware you need a TF card in FAT32. that is the only format it can work and can't be fixed

thanks a lot James for prompt answer
i went right away to purchase many studio masters from a small but great french company QOBUZ which enables purchasing but also streaming of FLAC files even with iPhone !!

Back from my office I connected my X3 to my car stereo and YOOOOO what  a sound even with ALAC files

i'am now dreaming about a bluetooth transmettor to avoid any cable when driving

I guess I am one of the first users of X3 in PARIS   France but this product is so good in sound treatment and handling is .......quite far from the Apple IOS but i will learn

thanks to you i saved 500 euros compared to ASTELL &Kern players !!!

Merci beaucoup
