My thoughts is that more driver does not equal a better iem. BUT more drivers will allow for more potential but also with higher risks (more difficult tuning). So more drivers = higher risk/reward.

I think that too. You are both right. More doesn't equal better, but as RikudouGoku said the potential is there, it's up to the sound guys to put the time and effort required to proper tuning the drivers, so they can coexist and do their own thing as best as possible.

Also, to develop a new driver from the ground up and proper tuning it, can be very expensive and may require a lot of research and time.

True! And if anyone is up to the task, both with many drivers, and with a SOTA single driver, the team at Moodrop are I’m sure.

I'm using EQ to get them right on the harmon target and it's sounding pretty good to me so far.
