You can either get a damper remover and remove that thing and replace it or deal with support.

and as you can see your damper is probably torn
No it is not fixed to the resin. You can buy the same damper on soundlink too. Or you get a few other dampers and play around with the tuningGotcha, thanks!
Is this even possible to use on the Blessing though, isn't the damper fixed to the resin?
@MOONDROP ?
the damper is torn, you can see from the photo how it hangs down, it is brown color (1000ohm)Gotcha, thanks!

@MOONDROP ?
My question is how that even happened. Did it arrive like that?Seemed like there was a pretty substantive imbalance in my Blessing 2 @ 5kHz-ish so I took a closer look and sure enough the filter material in the tube was loose which I guess is the cause. Any ideas what to do about this?

how is the sound with the torn damper? is it harsh sounding? i have some brown and white dampers and was wondering if i can make some mods, that damper is responsible for the midrange driversVery cool, I will look into.
Thanks guys!
These are 2nd hand, no idea. I did notice the imbalance from the start but thought it was my ears at first as I had the flu then.My question is how that even happened. Did it arrive like that?
Not harsh no but excessive. You could approximate it by applying 5-6dB at 5kHz with Q of 1. That sounds balanced to me currently on the right side.how is the sound with the torn damper? is it harsh sounding? i have some brown and white dampers and was wondering if i can make some mods, that damper is responsible for the midrange drivers
thanks, if the stock get clogged i will change them to white dampers, they are 680ohms, will get a bit more upper mids (i am a midrange junky)Not harsh no but excessive. You could approximate it by applying 5-6dB at 5kHz with Q of 1. That sounds balanced to me currently on the right side.

Thank you sir!! you can tell how much damper screwing around with I have done... not muchThat tool is a tap. If you want a version that can't potentially poke through this is the one I use (below drill bit, which was my original tool on the non-cutting side):

It's only an issue of driver supply, some sellers just either say pre order in description or just have some spare stock.Any updates on the knowles drivers issue? Blessing 2 is still not being stocked, but there are some available in taobao from various sellers and the official Moondrop store too. If i were to buy blessing 2 in taobao would they still be the ones that has knowles drivers in them?
