So, you like your ears stabbed with the Beyer treble knives? That's your idea of fun?
I have 3 pairs beyers never felt that stabbing

Super Spaceship Rumble to keep with the alliteration?

There is a difference, but it isn't night and day. The least influential link in the chain, but it is still a component.

I think spending money on a wire upgrade is alright, around 1/3 of the price of the iem. Too much is a waste. If you order online it is also risky, since the synergy may not be there and the new wires have altered the sound signature away from your preference. I went with 4.4 jack + gold plated silver (most likely copper painted yellow), but boy is it thick. So thick and shiny that it turned a few heads in public. Any real improvement? I'd say 15%. Fully unleashed the bass and imo at a good spot since the original S8 was just a tad bass shy.
If you are talking SE vs Balanced output ofc there will be different. But if you compare SE cable to Balance cable, it'll not be that noticeable as SE vs Bal output. I do know cable can alter sound slightly as i had experience them too back then but it's a rare case, it'll not always happen.

Well, it looks like Crinacle’s first impressions of the Blessing 2 are very good.

”Very, very solid IEM overall. Probably belongs in the same conversation as the S8.”

I was not surprised to see that he likes the B2, but put it in the same "conversation" than the S8, that took me off guard. It's quite an achievement for a $320 IEM. Makes me wonder if he'd put it in the same league as S8 on technicalities.

It's his list after all. Separation and the clean & black background of this is pretty good. If only it had toned down the overall lower treble and bumped up the ambient highs that'd be a real treat.

I'd call it The "Final" Blessing.

Hey y'all! I just took delivery of my first Moondrop iem this past weekend, and I have to say I am impressed. The Starfield punch way above their price, and just became one my daily drivers. These things sound killer, and the imaging and separation is top notch. The fit is amazing too, and they just disappear while wearing them. This might be my first Moondrop iem, but it will not be my last. Well done Moondrop!

Got the Starfield as a side/upgrade from my FLC8s and loving it thus far. Hope Crinacle drop his review soon since I've been eyeing the B2 ever since its release. Anyone able to compare the bass between the B2 and Starfield?

Would you guys say that the Starfield is roughly the same as Kanas Pro? I suspect so, and would like something that's a substantial step above these seemingly mere mid-level IEMs. I recall the KP being rather boring, and soft in the bass. Am hoping the Reecho & Peacock Spring will do the trick.

I do a comparison between the two on my review here on headfi. Maybe you can check them out :)
