Stopped at Rat Shack on my way in to work this morning and grabbed a set of the Auvio tips and really liking them so far (aside from the $14.99 price tag).  I don't need the Complys underneath to get a good seal.  Can't wait to try them on my IE8s.

I have those Radio Shack eartips. They work great on my Pro-Coppers and Miles Davis. I am also enjoying the Miles Davis now by using the Audioforge labs equalizer. For some reason the EQU app was not toning down the bass bloat as much without affecting the rest of the spectrum but the Audioforge equalizer did it. I am even listening to fast and extreme changing bass heavy speed metal and dubstep and the Miles is making them sound amazing with this app.

The bore on the Sony Hybrids is basically the same size as the Tribute if you look straight at it. I don't like using smaller bores than the original opening either but the Hybrids and Tribute are pretty much the same. Plus they're mad comfortable.

Sorry, I meant the Auvio vs Sony bore size.

Left to right, Top to Bottom:

Sony Hybrid, Auvio
Monster Supertip, Sony Standard Tip

My previous experiences with Monster Turbine, MTPC, MMDT and with my IE8s I have preferred the tips on the right, I use the Sony Hybrids on my TF10s and seem to like them for BA phones.

Just my personal preference and again, it might just all be in my head.  Too bad there is not a smiley face for crazy since I'm a little nuts

I would like to find the Sony Tips that have the foam noise isolation under it. Maybe I can find a way to put some foam under the Auvio tips and see if that makes a difference. Perhaps from some earplug or something. I mean, the isolation is excellent as it is but just to experiment. :D

De-cored Comply should solve your problem.

Oh I got ya. Can you take a pic of the Auvio tips on the MD Tribute? My favorite tips to use is the MEElec extra long single flanges but the fit is a little loose because of the gap for the Tribute as you can see in the pic below.

I had a hard time getting my phone to focus but it's pretty similar to the MEElec:

Hey guys, my MMDTs arrived today.

They are brown box.

How do I check for fake-ness? I ordered straight from the monster website but someone told me that they have even sold fakes inadvertently before.

Edit: after fiddling with the tips and choosing the smallest one ever (guess I've got small canals), I'm listening now and it definitely doesn't SOUND fake... sounds great.
