You could request it from @SomeTechNoob for a lot cheaper if he/she is willing.

Quick question for y'all. I was in NYC over the weekend and got a chance to test drive the Hifiman 400i thanks to the fine folks at Audio46.

To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. Even more troubling for me was the fact that since they are low impedance they didn't trip the Hi-imp circuit on my V20 so I didn't get to test with my own music. I had to use their fiio x7 v2 (very nice unit BTW).

So my question is, is the M1060 easier or harder to drive than the 400i, and does anyone know whether or not it trips the hi-impedance circuit on the V20?

I don't own a 400i but I do own a HE-400, an M1060 and a LG V20. I would say that the M1060 is easier to drive than my HE-400 but neither one trips the high impedance circuit on my V20. However, you can trick the phone into high impedance mode with a short extension cable and a 75 ohm impedance adapter. Even in high impedance mode, however, the M1060 doesn't sound that awesome out of the V20. It's not that hard to drive but it is amp picky.

I wonder if the upcoming open planar headphones (LCD-2C, Aeon Open) will affect M1060's pricing, or even trigger Monoprice to release new model? M1065 maybe?
Highly doubt it. It's already pretty darn cheap as it is and still one of the only companies that I am aware of that will give you a 5 year warranty. I think it's fine at it's current pricing. I'm sure in the future, they will be eligible for like the 10%-20% off deals which will make the headphones even a better deal.

I am curious how do others attach their earpads to the fazor plates? I use this thin Scotch clear double sided tape and it's not holding my stock pads in place too well...

Just got my hands on a pair of vegan pads, should be here soon. Without having to go back through 20 pages, has there been a consensus on which is preferred mod, fazzor over fuzzer?

People are just receiving the fazors, so I'm guessing many more opinions will come in the coming weeks. I received mine today, it does seem clean the sound up, however I haven't tried the fuzzor mod yet. I'd love to see some graphs comparing both mods. I'll try giving more feedback in the coming days.
