You could request it from @SomeTechNoob for a lot cheaper if he/she is willing.
Quick question for y'all. I was in NYC over the weekend and got a chance to test drive the Hifiman 400i thanks to the fine folks at Audio46.
To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. Even more troubling for me was the fact that since they are low impedance they didn't trip the Hi-imp circuit on my V20 so I didn't get to test with my own music. I had to use their fiio x7 v2 (very nice unit BTW).
So my question is, is the M1060 easier or harder to drive than the 400i, and does anyone know whether or not it trips the hi-impedance circuit on the V20?
Highly doubt it. It's already pretty darn cheap as it is and still one of the only companies that I am aware of that will give you a 5 year warranty. I think it's fine at it's current pricing. I'm sure in the future, they will be eligible for like the 10%-20% off deals which will make the headphones even a better deal.I wonder if the upcoming open planar headphones (LCD-2C, Aeon Open) will affect M1060's pricing, or even trigger Monoprice to release new model? M1065 maybe?
I am curious how do others attach their earpads to the fazor plates? I use this thin Scotch clear double sided tape and it's not holding my stock pads in place too well...
So a newbie question
For someone coming from HE400i n DT990 ... Which all mods one should do with M1060 and how much it would cost in total and whether is it worth it or not?
Just got my hands on a pair of vegan pads, should be here soon. Without having to go back through 20 pages, has there been a consensus on which is preferred mod, fazzor over fuzzer?
