Prelim design for Mk IV. I'm kinda digging the Galatic Empire crest look lol.
When you are satisfied I will have a set, and grills.Arthur.

Anyone try the ZMF suede pads yet? How are they? I think either the Eikon or the Ori pads would fit.
Today Monoprice has the M1060 @ $249.00 delivered. I pulled the trigger!
They're still @ $299.00 on Amazon. "My Idiophilia" and additional family members now in our home brought me to this addiction. I've been into the "headphone" game for less than a year and I already have more dynamic cans, dacs, and hp amps than I would ever need. Since owning the Maggie 1.7's the planar cans have been calling from the beginning. The $249.00 delivered was enough to feed my curiosity's temptation.Nice deal. It wasn't offered on Amazon.ca? Not sure if it would have made me bite. I was hoping for closer to $200.00. I REALLY don't need them, but I am curious...

Has anyone tried the Eikon pads? Perforated or regular lambskin. And if anyone is planning to get the Auteur pads to try those too.
Edit I should read the thread more often. Ignore my post lol I was really tipsy when I wrote this.
I pulled the trigger on the $249 free ship no tax sale on the M1060 last night. I will not be able to afford any extra modding for it however. I do have some brand new Sony XBR 700 earpads I am going to use some double sided tape to place the earpads on the can securely. I currently rock Sony XBR 500 earpads on my M560's and I love that combo (did not like the 700 earpads on the M560 though). 700 are so big, so should be perfect for the M1060.
If anyone else has some cheap mod tips I'm open to hearing them. (I am not buying anymore earpads though lol)
Fuzzor mod is about as inexpensive as you can go, I've yet to do it but the material is only a couple dollars at most for a large sheet.
I like Organza. It comes in lots of colors, is pretty cheap, and most importantly, is about as acoustically transparent as any available material.what material should i use between grill and wood now that i have fazors on backside and original dampening material does not fit anymore?
Getting it cut properly and applied so it doesn't block the slots, but completely covers the bars is the challenge. I have seen some that were pretty nasty looking. Maybe doing more harm to the sound than good...the sheet cost $0.99 at craft store and can make like 20+ fuzzor mods
