Heres the latest ones ive been working on. Like TheHeedHunter said, its a sickness. Ill prolly never use them but its fun 3d designing them and then printing them and then staining and finishing them.

Nice, you too are getting good looks with the staining! I love the closed back one, I tried to make open one with that design. Openbacks are way to go for me but maybe I should try closed and make a pair for just in case.

My model has pretty rough outside but you can sand it smooth. I'll post it on thingiverse after work and link it here if anyone wants to do their own.

Soo. I just got another idea. For the headband this time. I'm not a fan with the plasticy comfort strap. So I made one from leather harvested from one old leatherjacket. And the pins from original headband we're loose and it was much worse after I bended the forks to be straight and not hit the cups. I had idea of M4 button hex bolts but I couldn't find them locally. I had 4 but cut one too short! I managed to harvest 3 more from my 3D printer by replacing them and cut them to size. And I did sand the orange aluminum pieces to bare aluminum so I don't have to use paint in the upper part and DC Fix tape on the sides.

I think it's much nicer after, cups are not loose and they are a bit stiff but smooth. Comfort strap does hit the top as I was planned to make it a bit longer to minize the clearance on top and make the forks be as in as possible at my usage. They are at minimum atm and nicer as is. I may need to shorten the strap a bit tho. Hope you enjoy my casual sunday and monday fun!

Soo. This happened also, it was in my mind a loong time but now when I can do the 3D models myself I decided to try do this angled mod to get the 2,5mm off from my shirt. Wasn't sure should I use 2,5mm, 3,5mm or the mini XLR but I found them in my country so I didn't need to wait month or so from ali/ebay.

Is this cool mod? I like it, and it's better now with the angle. Two of my wire connectors broke SUPER easily. Glad I did order two sets, different time tho and paid the shipping for both.. But is it better than the original? Idk, they didn't hit too much to shirts but this was just 'because I can' scenario. I also didn't like the longer connectors and there isn't any shorter 2,5mm mono's

Yikes all this looks too good. FWIW mine look like crap but I am going for sound quality and the grills really mess up the soundstage and FWIW even removing them didn't help much. But in case you missed it, I did a mod that really fixes the M1060c soundstage:

Crushed it last year and have some dough to buy some pricey cans but haven't because I am really digging the M1060cs modded like this.

I got these grills for the M1060c at the wood shape store at less than $1 each plus shipping..Just have to specify a custom diameter of 104mm. Currently mounted using nano magic double sided tape. I plan to paint the grills and add a thin layer of acoustic foam on the inside of the grills.

Love some of these great grill designs! I have a M1060 v.2 and I was wondering if it was worth going to the 1060c of it was close enough.

The M1060 v2 is lighter than the m1060c and with the right mods (front shelf liner, rear shelf liner, remove rear acoustic damping), it sort of surpasses or at least equals the M1060c. Look at attached pictures. The M1060 unmodded has more treble energy than the m1060c so you can tone the treble down using the damping mods. The bass on the m1060v2 goes up after removing the rear foam. After these mods, you have the m1060v2 having somewhat similar bass quality (quantity and texture) to the m1060c. The treble on the m1060v2 is better than the m1060c.
I don't know of a way to increase the treble on the m1060c so if you have a m1060v2 i would say keep it.

Sure. i think the m1060v2 are absolutely killer in how tuneable the sound is. I had the m1060c and the modded m1060v1 at the same time for a while. I sold the m1060v1 to a friend and I kind of miss them now :)
