Yes, I did order T60rp with suede pads just now. I hope these are the correct pads for treble-sensitive people. I also have Ori suede pads, was wondering if it would make any difference, I'll see when I get them. Hopefully this year? I have no idea how long I would have to wait though.

I don't think your going to have a problem with treble on the Argons with any pads.

I was about to buy ZMF Oval Protein or Lambskin pads separately. Thanks, maybe I should get the T60rp first and then decide for myself if treble is problem at all.

I certainly don’t think you’ll find a problem with treble in any Aragon model but the ZMF cowhide oval is the only way to go if you want to go even darker.

Do the cowhide pads kill the treble and especially the details too much?

Your not going to kill the detail with pads, my t60's had a very thick mid range and low end but the sparkle is still there right where you want it. I would only purchase them if you enjoy experimenting and not because you will be unhappy with your choice. I actually used mine with the stock T60 pads for bit and enjoyed them also. I ended up settling on the brainwavz angled sheepskins. Most of the sound change will come from pad thickness and materials (leather, suede, valor)

I haven't tried the suedes but my bet is they are going to sound awesome.

It’s similar to what’s happening with the TH-X00s right now, too. Crazy prices - a purpleheart TH- X00 just went for $730 on eBay. People want a killer audiophile basshead can and many of them are discontinued or custom modded. What else would you get at $350 right now? I ask that seriously. I sold my Argon SE recently but only because I have a Balanced coming in around 13 weeks.
