The Phoenix edition looks lovely. But I also note that the edition, limited to 100, is still so widely available (e.g. Audio46, Moon etc) after many months.

I know it is all about taste. My 2cents: 1k more is a lot. While the coating by itself is interesting looking it kinda disturbs the nicely flowing design. Doesn't play well with the intricate metal mesh. Looks overall too noisy and gaudy.
I don't want to displease anybody if you like it. As said it's a matter of taste. Probably a rather polarizing design.

Today I spent a few hours A/B testing my Solitaire P with the Empyrean.

Since it never Was an either one or the other decision, I didn't really A/B them a lot before.
Usually I just pick one and use it the whole evening and on the next day I decide again which to use.

They are completely different in what they offer. There is a lot of room for the Elite to have yet another unique signature... the decision will be incredibly hard.

Most hilarious comment I've read in a while. In the age of peak shilling, hype, snake oil like audio has never seen before, lol.

In a time when headphones is being invaded by the boutique speaker brands and pricing them similarly with the same nonsense marketing. Never have headphones become a fixture of status symbol until now. It's sad IMO.
