Meze EMPYREAN - the First Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone

So overall, I can only say from my experience and from people I've talked to that Forza Audioworks sells good cables for great pices. If not taking returns is how they keep their prices low, I would say that's not unreasonable at all.

Considering what Matt does and how his track record and his prices look like, honestly we shouldn't ask for more. If anyone's interested in returns, I'd ask Matt via mail anyway.

Some ears and some gears simply do not reveal the differences between cables. Sometimes it's the combination of the two. How many of you can confidently say you can pass a blind cable test? Anyone in business would know there is no one wonder product or pill that will work for everyone. To have a no return policy is to simply asking people to take the risk. Right or wrong this is all I'm gonna say on this subject.

I'm believer in cable upgrade and its sonic character due to my own personal experience.
Forza cable is one of the best in business with very premium quality cable. I am using cables from forza for my headphones and I'm sure no one would be disappointed.
Also during Thanksgiving you may find good discount and is good time to order if you are on fence.

One more point they do have good resale value in case return is not an option. You can also check with Norne cable I guess they do have return policy.

Given the current world situation (pandemic), when is Meze going to wake up to Focal and put out an affordable 'lesser' version of the Empyrean? I'm sure they'd sell more than a few.

Oh, don't worry guys, we've kept ourselves busy during the lockdown. :L3000: And given the fact that we were unable to meet with you guys at audio shows, we didn't manage to give you some sneak peeks into our most recent work. What we can tell you is that there's something good coming your way, but, as you already know, nothing will see the light of day until we're 100% sure that it is perfected to our standards. :yum:

Empyrean made me listened to music that I otherwise wouldn't and at the same time, truly enjoy it.

:hearts: This is hands down one of the best compliments the Empyrean has ever received.

Let me guess. New pads with less mid bass and more treble.

Yesterday, a new pair of very affordable speakers with new technology got released and it's gonna change the world of speakers and closed-back headphone forever. Its sound? Its sound is a perfect complement for the Empyrean. Compliment? Complement? English is hard.

The LS50 Meta. Using a new sound absorbing material that absorbs sound like a blackhole. Going to take the world by storm. But we gotta run before the relevance police arrive.

Empyrean owners can really appreciate the details, openness and transparency of the LS meta

What's the material?

You can find out more directly on KEF website. I just know what it does, it is located behind the driver and it eliminates sound. It's the combination of a material and the web engineered design that looks like a maze. Making the sound a lot more open, transparent, and detail. What's been said so far is the improvements are very significant.

In the years to come, expect this technology to incorporate into closed back headphone bringing them to the next level. This is something truly special and game changing.

Just like Empyrean being the first isodynamic hybrid driver. LS Meta is the first to have this meta absorption.

Been thinking of going back to the Empyrean after using the LCD-4z for a while... I have a Verite already, so I think the Empy may be a better compliment... Comfort was second to none as well. Hmmm.

Ordered a Meze Empyrean which arrived already, a GS-X Mini (hasn't arrived yet), and the silver plated balanced upgrade cable which also hasn't arrived yet.

I am so pumped. Having owned the Empyrean before, I regret ever parting with it, but I was very obviously using an amp/dac combo that wasn't working on these, and I've since upgraded my amps and dacs a lot since.

It sounds incredible on my improved amp and dac already so if the Mini and silver cable improve things even further, I'll be super happy. Definitely confirmed my theory that the issue was in my old amp/dac not bringing these to their full potential.
