You don't truly realize how awesome that design is until you try it for yourself several times. It's the best there is.
15 seconds if you take your time! I can do it in 7 seconds, max.
You are indeed @PeteSTRADAMUS 's Usain Bolt then....took me ten seconds just now...and that's with a following wind lol!

Exactly. Only way the time counts is if it's in a windless environment!

Does passing wind during the change automatically disqualify the challenger?Exactly. Only way the time counts is if it's in a windless environment!

Aaw, shucks...
After work today I'm picking up the Empyrean and the Moon 230HAD DAC/amp and giving this stuff a nice whirlwind of sound. I hope this setup pairs well.

It was the absolute worst time in history for music when disco was introduced. It is club music and nothing more. Everything sounds the same and it’s all about the same beat over and over to dance to. That’s great if you were a “clubber” but for just pure listening enjoyment, musicianship, technique, etc., personally hot needles piercing my eyes is a better option
Amen, preach it Brother!!!

You know, my post was idiotic. I regret it!! I'd delete it but that would be even more idiotic as it's written in stone so I gotta deal with it. I had no business posting something like that as everyone has their tastes and opinion. Mine happens to be different and it's not gospel. To each their own is what makes the world go around as cliché as that sounds. . My apologies if I offended anyone with my self centered post. Forgive me fellas, especially you @Pharmaboy
@Pharmaboy, is an excellent guy, with a good sense of humor, he may want to debate you but I doubt he took offense.
Wait, @Pharmaboy has a sense of humor?@Pharmaboy, is an excellent guy, with a good sense of humor, he may want to debate you but I doubt he took offense.
Okay, since we're straying a bit too far fro the Empyrean, I'll throw a few impressions out there.
Pharmaboy might (or might not) have a sense of humor, but he does have an Empyrean...and he was nice enough to loan it to me for a while.
Overall, I find them quite a pleasurable listen.
Bass is indeed powerful, but not as bad as I feared from some comments I've read. If you're coming from something/neutral thin, it's a shock, but I don't think it's too far north of, say the ZMF Aeolus with universe pads. Definitely not as clean, but not horrible by any means.
Mids are super smooth...some will find them recessed, but not objectionable to me. Definitely not for mid-heads, reduction in guitar bite etc., but I don't think it's smothered. It does take the edge off of hot recordings (Bonamassa's guitar, Adel's vocals for instance).
Treble is mostly well behaved, somewhat splashy up top, but we're not talking mount Beyer treble spikes. Splashiness is magnified with velour pads, but still listenable.
Decent wide stage, fairly tall & deep...not exaggerated, not as wide as 800s, but not constrained.
Detail retrieval is very good, not in your face...maybe a few notches behind the HD800/Utopia, but better than most.
I find them to be an enjoyable listen.
Probably one of the most amp agnostic headphones I've heard. It pairs very well with both my ifi Pro iCan & DNA Sonnet 2.
Value wise, I personally wouldn't pay the asking price, but I definitely don't dislike them.
