You can not compare a dynamic to a planar in that regard. The LCD-MX4 has the same sensitivity as the HD650, but sounds dull and hollow on the RME compared to a more powerful amp. The Elite will likely behave in a similar way.
More burn-in, listening. Bass is getting bigger, still tighter and very well controlled. Mids and highs are incredible, and the preference is now drifting toward the Forza Noir Hybrid HPC cable, away from the big copper cables (Capistrano or ZMF 2k copper). Still have to dig up the real silver cable (Moon Silver Dragon Premium), but I have a bad feeling that this will end with me buying the insane Norne silver cable that @ThanatosVI has.

Fully recommend this cable, however there is some Supply chain problem currently.
Might take a while until the Silvergarde S4 8-wire will be available again.
Best is to inquire soon to get on the waiting list.

The RME amp does not sound dull, but it does make the MX4 sound dull and less dynamic compared to a beefier amp. The RME amp is perfectly fine for the Focal Clear or Elegia.
