Not to start a cable debt, but is anyone using an aftermarket cable with the Elites?
Meze silver plated and "regular" copper upgraded cables.

St. Louis, MissouriWhere are you from?
Good luck!! I’ve been looking for a while. Sold mine and regret it. It’s a great cable.I’ll probably try the Meze silver upgrade cable, but I prefer to find a used one.
Good point, but what if you have a warm sounding solid state amp? I’d prefer to let as much details and clarity come through unabated from the headphones and alter the signal through my source chain. Cables are just a final tweak to sound and don’t alter the foundation of a headphone that much. At least that’s been my experience.Regarding the Meze upgrade cables, the designers suggest the silver one mostly for use with tube amps and the copper for solid state pairings.
What I do know is I need a better cable than the stock one that come with the Elites, haha! The above post was just a remark about a rough guideline.
Cables are very subjective matter as we all know...

Then my cable probably wouldn't be an attractive offer.St. Louis, Missouri
That is true, the stock cable surely doesn't match the asking price. What I do know is I need a better cable than the stock one that come with the Elites, haha!

An upgrade copper cable should be at least included into the package or alternatively we should be offered with all available plugs of the stock cable.
I am very upset with Meze regarding their accessory pack of the Empyrean and the Elite.
That's interesting.I am very upset with Meze regarding their accessory pack of the Empyrean and the Elite.
With Focal Clear Mg pro or non pro version we get an excellent carrying case and an assortment of cables or extra pads depending on the version. That's interesting.
Meze gives 2 earpads and a fully functional travel case.
They include only one cable with connector of choice as standard.
This is above average from my experience
Since you're very upset with it, which manufacturers offer base packages that do not upset you?

I don't really need the Meze cable but shipping costs kill it
