Just put my 109's back on today. This will be their second run through with me. I liked them the first time, but wasn't blown away. Curious to see my reaction this time.
Starting off with the new Crosses album through a Violectric V220.

The treble seems to be settling down on mine.

Looking forward to your revisit review. Dang, Crosses certainly graduated from the Depeche Mose School of Music! Super cool. Thanks for the link!

Mine were already used when I bought them. I didn't find them sharp, but the treble end seemed Huge. Some treble notes just faded away more than finished. Hard to explain. But that was when I was new to them.

The Crosses album is not really great for testing audio fidelity, but I bought it last night and wanted to hear it.

Really enjoyed the Foo Fighters, a shot of Florence and the Machine and now I am on to City and Colour. This album is pretty soft and slow so I will really notice every note.
After that is Dave Matthews Band.

Also, sticking with the Violectric all day long.

It is really different. They are a side project from the singer for the Deftones (Chino Moreno, I think). This is their third album.

I too am Very curious how I will feel about them this time. I actually have a guy waiting to buy them. I told him I will decide by next weekend whether I am keeping them or not.

The 109's definitely has more bass, if it's in the song.

I just finished a week with the S2's and was a little underwhelmed. At no point last week did they make me smile.
Weirdly, my best day with them was a full day spent with the Little Dot MK9 playing John Coltrane all day. I knew I was missing detail, but the sound was So smooth.

Changing headphones every week is a crapshoot. Sometimes it is a treat like early Christmas. And sometimes it is...
I do like all my headphones, but the transitions can be Nasty.

I enjoyed my first day though. Rock music through the Violectric for the day was nice.

Tomorrow will bring a new partner and different music.
