Curious question. I don't think the ear piece has Left or Right label.
Stock cable has Red color indicator as Right side.
Fair to say that by aligning Meze logo signature right side up would indicate Left or Right side by the nozzle pointing?

Just make sure that Meze emblem is facing toward you when putting them in your ears. And, tbh, it would be uncomfortable if you try to flip left/right sides, so you would feel something is off

Well, the Advar is color-coded, did you notice the inner ring of the right side is red?

Can anyone recommend an after market cable for the advars.
I have been using them on the go with the ifi gryphon and find myself using them indoors more and more so to save on recharging cycles I have decided to use them in a desk top setup and need a slightly longer cable. Having read a little it seems lavri cables are a popular choice with meze headphones would this be an upgrade to the stock cable or are there any other options to consider.
As I enjoy the Advars so much I don't mind spending a little more for a cable if it improves them even more than the stock cable which I would have gone for if I could have got a longer version.

Why not heading for a decent extension cable?

You'll be safe for all upcoming purchases.
Especially while using desktop gear.

That's an option I hadn't even considered and something I will look into although I have been looking into after market cables a little more over the last half hour and I am starting to get more and more interested if people think that one would be worth it I might go with one what one though.
It seems like it never stops new iems new cable new amp new chair new slippers .

Meze themselves have a great line of aftermarket cables made especially for their IEMs, you can check them out here!

Yes I am very happy with the cable that the Advars came with unfortunately it is too short to use with my desk top set up.I quite like the look of the lavri cables reference line or the extension cable idea.
If I do get a new cable is it worth getting a 4.4 balanced cable to use with the ifi gryphon aswell.

Well, you could take the FiiO LC-RE (RD - pure silver) Pro and call it a day than.
The interchangeable plugs are pretty handy.

But it's also just 4 feed long, sadly.

Most MMCX headphone cables are 1.2m long, you might be able to find some brands using offer 1.5m options, but it would be quite difficult to find something longer then than off-the-shelf.

Maybe you can look for a replacement/upgrade cable for Pioneer SE-Master 1 or SE-Monitor 5, these are full-size headphones with mmcx connectors, their regular cable probably are 2m or 3m long and they should, theoretically, work with Advar IEM.

ADVAR sounds stunning with looks to match, honestly this combo with DX320 is infectious, can’t wait to hear it with AMP13 once it arrives! A great accompaniment to a mid-afternoon espresso.​

Did a little shootout today vs IE600, Isabellae, A3000, Zen Pro and the ADVAR won by a pretty big margin in my personal sense of enjoyability, comfort, value, and most importantly whether I'd buy one or not.
