Well I could afford the 5970 after selling my DT880 and ALO-780, but is kind of overkill. Then again that's a good thing when I have lots of money. Screw the 5870's, unless I can get them for really cheap. Two 5850s Overclocked will easily beat two stock clocked 5870s. I could OC them as well but the 5850s OC better and they would probably end up getting the same results in games

With GTX 285 SLI, I was getting 450fps...LOL. Not that I can tell a difference

no it doesn't? I have 7 35dba fans running at 100% speed all the time and had my two OCd GTX 285s at 100% fan speed all the time.

No, I just don't complain like a little girl about the computer being too loud. 35dba isn't even that loud. I am used to it and can't stand quiet computers. If it's quiet it is either overheating, crappy components or has like $2k spent on cooling for it.
