Thanks for PMing the original started of this thread that it had been revived

Good to see that Melbourne head-fi'ers (or Victorian should i say?) will get a chance to meet up and check out each others gear!

Anyways, in case it isn't obvious, I'm in!

(Just out of interest, will anyone have HD600/HD650 there? I am contemplating it, and if someone does have them there it would be a good time to audition - and if not it would be an alright excuse for me to purchase them :P)
[edit]: Just read Bosch's sig, great

[edit2]: Eeep, i hate to ask, but - how badly does it need to be the 5/6th of November? That is unfortunately right in between my two very large maths exams and is a touch of a problem for me.

WOW a melbourne meet. I really wanna go to this. I'm a head-fi newbie and only just acquired an E4C and play through my iAudio M3, thank god i didnt get an iPod LOL. I'm really interested in this and particulary interested in trying Bosch's sr325i's

Initially i was just aiming to buy an MS-1's now i'm holding off for these, the great things that head-fi does to crazy people like us *insert sarcasm* LOL. By the way i'm living in the western part of melbourne, around which area is this meet going to be??

Yea, what suburb you from Bosch? Just for an idea of where we'll be going

I dont see myself getting any new gear anything soon exept maybe a cheap CD player to feed my newly finished long time in the making DAC, so what is listed in my sig is what I'll have

Back in Melbourne...just quickly:

Date: I picked November 5th because on the previous weekend it's my girlfriend's birthday, and on the following weekend I have to attend a wedding on the Saturday, otherwise I'm flexible. Since a few people have clashes, how about Nov 19th? We'll make a decision on this by Friday...please chip in yay or nay. I'll create a new thread and maintain (a) the confirmed attendees and (b) the equipment list.

robzy: glad someone got in contact, heh heh. Thanks to the mystery PMer.

Senns: yes I have both Senns, fully run-in.

Location: without being too specific, I am on the east side of Melbourne, about half an hour drive or 20kms from the CBD.

Eep, in actual fact that was just me being sarcastic. But the "

" at the end meant that i was just kidding, and its my own fault i didn't check my own thread :P

Aaannnyywwaaayysss... the 5th of November is not the best for me due to the exams i have at that time. I would be able to make it - but i would prefer to see it happening on a different date.

But really, I'm easy either way, ill follow the crowed

OK...the current date options for the meet are:

(1) Saturday November 5th - robzy can't make it, others can.

(2) Saturday November 12th - Boschy has to attend a wedding. I can do Sunday 13th, though.

(3) Saturday November 19th - Enverxis is fine with this. Given that one person cannot make the 5th, how about this date for everyone?

Sounds like Saturday November 19th at 1:00pm is OK for the Melbourne meet...woohoo!!

Instead of creating a new thread, I'll just maintain the details here. Please pass on your info via a post, in PM, or to me directly via e-mail. I will also create an e-mail group on my PC for circulating personal details like the address and so on.

There is no real obligation to list your gear...most folks have their list in their sigs. An informal RVSP or expressing interest in attending would be appreciated. Ta.
