Got my back-up Head-Five today! Opened it up just to make sure it didn't get damaged in shipping. It looks and sounds nearly as good as the fully burnt in one but unfortunately Dr. Meier forgot to attach the serial number label on it. A bit dissapointing but no loss, just glad I was able to get in again before they sold out.

I too prefer the crossfeed off. The soundstage on the amplifier already isn't especially expansive and with the cross-feed on detail seems to be smeared and compressed. With it off though...

The H5's crossfeed sounds quite natural on my HD595. It widens the stage side ways (not front/back). Works well on some tracks, hardly noticable in others. The down side seems that spatial positioning is less "accurate" with it on.

I am a Crossfeed ON guy for sure - really works well for me.

Crossfeed on for me also, once the amp is really burned in you can feel the difference. I can on my DT770/80 Pros and my ATH-A900s anyway.

Also, what DACs ( if any ) are people using?

I was just looking at this thread and thinking exactly the same thing. I can appreciate the crossfeed effect but I'm not sure if this is just the traditionalist in me, but I prefer the 'regular' stereo that headphones bring.
