Lets just be real. You get what you pay for ATLEAST.
Expecting measurements, expecting the expectations.......when all this is met, we will start complaining about the price.
Anybody with a sense of logic(no offense) will know OCK-2 is the perfect build for the price. May not, is not at the Mutec levels, but the price is like how many times lower?
Yes you should expect measurements.
I would bet that 100% of every audio device you have ever purchased came with measurements.
A clock is not a budget item. Its entire reason for existence is to provide extremely precise timing. Its most important metric is phase noise.
Phase noise is the noise produced by rapid, short-term fluctuations in the signal. These measurable fluctuations reduce signal quality and increases error rates. The less phase noise you have, the better.
This isn’t a difficult thing to do and for a company to not post the most important aspect of the very thing that determines its quality and usefulness is SHADY!
Do you take medication without knowing the dose? A car without a speedometer?
I’m not some ASR junkie either.
AfterDark measures and verifies every device they make. The Prince is -100db @1hz for $550.
Would I recommend that clock?
No
-100db isn’t all that great. Below -100db is even worse unless it’s inside the DAC.
So yea you’ve probably bought something that your dac is doing better.
If you had a measurement you would know.
