Does it require burn-in? Will sound change over time?

I tried a RG402as well. Is it bidirectional?

yes and no, theoretically it is bidirectional, practically I usually can find one side sound better than the other way around, of course system dependent, YMMV. Try it, no cost, if you don't hear a difference, so be it.
