II know you said this and I trust your knowledge but I don't want to believe it.

So I'm going to do some research and keep asking around until I get the answer I wanna hear.
You can try odin clones terminated with 50ohm connectors, or give a shot to 75ohm cables. It will work. Could even sound very well.

Square or Sine?...I am awaiting bnc cables for ock2. Im excited...

Also what headphone cables are those? Why are you also using an extra attatchment(XLR) ?

Hart Audio Cables: https://hartaudiocables.com/collect...s-balanced-headphone-cable-for-focal-and-more

I bought the largest interconnect kit they have so I have a lot of termination options.

Nice! Speaking of Mutec but not to hijack the thread, they were supposed to come out with a new DDC around Xmas. I wonder what's up with that as I've seen nothing from them.
interesting!

Looking good on the Mutec Ref 10. Well engineered clock. Here's some scope captures with the Mutec Ref 10 at 50 ohm s and 75 ohms. Very fast edges at 50 ohm with short cables (700ps). The risetime response is a little underdamped with the slight over shoot. At 75 ohms the clocks are very square and risetime abut 1nS.

50 ohm cables - LMR400 and RG393
75 ohm cables - Oyaides BR510 and Belden 1694 (from Blue Jeans Cables USA)

Oscope Tektronix TDS784A 4Gs/s

I didn't have the heart to put the clock on the bench but I did run 6 cables (3 pair of different kinds, 2 pair are 50 ohm and one pair is 75 ohm) off my signal generator. It is surprising that there is a very measurable difference between 75 ohm cable performance and 50 ohm cable performance. The traces from the 50 ohm cables were obviously sharper and shaped better. But this is at 10 MHz. I didn't think of it until now as I'm posting, but I should have checked to see if there is a visible difference at WCLK frequencies. I guess the effect is much less.

I need to get another USB stick so I can get screenshots! No matter how many USB sticks I buy, I never have a free one. :D

Thank you guys, for such awesome info over the years on all the Audio-gd threads and this thread.

Here's some shots of the OCK2 with same 75 ohm cables. The risetimes are x2.75 slower then the Mutec Ref 10 with some impedance bumps. Edges are cleans and that is what counts.

There's as noticable phase difference there. Is it the cable or the output used?

Does anyone know the specs of the fuse on the OCK-2?
