I'm not ****ting you though... they DID have an imbalance before it, it just wasn't nearly pronounced enough. Reputable? Debatable.

EDIT: everyone here is defending claims, when basically it's all a misunderstanding. Please take the time to edit your messages before you finalize your post please, these posts have been nothing but the channel imbalance (or more accurately, bass imbalance).

for the record, when i opened the HOLE, i didnt hear annoying  "leftright imbalanced bass" on my particular can.
...just running thru my 40 testsongs..nothing too scientific..
i think its good enough for me to hear both cups TOGETHER..
so i didnt mod THE HOLE itself.
 
Wayne heard enuf imbalance to hurt his left ear....
Nim has his frustrations..
Pataburd didnt register imbalance..
who else?

Just because I didn't state it doesn't mean it wasn't there... Like I said, the mod just emphasized those to become a real problem--in stock form it wasn't noticeable enough to be a problem.

sounds amazing off my ipad, tested it again on my AUdiogd amp last nite..40testsongs...its kicking asses against my other bigcans.

Did you get to fix the imbalanced bass by chance? you said that they are sounding awesome now, that is, you used your 'rip the tape at a good size' to balance the bass correct?
