  Well said,Collin.

My price ended up being $156-shipped,and according to Peters review, the comfort is TOTL.
You rarely see that high ratings on IEM's.

Mike

Comfort is great, but they are pretty large. I feel like I'm sticking two Mitsubishi turbos in my ear :-)

Anyone else? LOL

I thought they are large when I first saw the design. But it in fact makes no difference with the A2/A3 in terms of comfort.

The A4 units if you reverse them on the MMCX cables for over-ear (left unit in right ear and right unit in left ear) sit better than A3/S as the cable goes over then straight down, but the units are angled off to the side ergonomically sitting right at the ear hole.
(Stereo is not reversed BTW)

Yes, you can wear them as they are intended, with the cable angling 45 degrees over to the unit after it goes over the ear, but I just found this way best for my personal preference.

Glad he listened to beta group suggestions to have a detachable cable.

Everybody is saying that the A4 is better than the A3, A3's, but how come? It uses exactly the same drivers and they already sound pretty neutral to me. Its a mystery for me smh how one can improve an IEM supposedly that much with the same drivers. :') Maybe someone has more insight / ideas than i do to how this is achieved.

The fact that they uses the same drivers are news to me, would you mind sharing the source for that information.

In my experience that does not matter though, one can tune the same driver to sound vastly different. More drivers gives even more possibilities. Good examples of this is in full sized headphones the Sennheiser HD598 and HD558 that uses the same driver but sound quite different. For IEM's the Vsonic GR07, 07BE and AN16 that all sounds clearly different from each other is one good example of this.

Edit: the fact that the A4 can be tuned in 18 different ways should of course be the easiest example, forgot about that ;)

Oh, they also use Silver-Titanium dynamic drivers and knowles drivers so i figured they might be the same, but we can't know that for sure thats true!

Thanks a lot for the detailed response. I just pulled the trigger on these after reading ur excellent review and because i already really like the A3s but dislike the comfort of them a tad.

Will post impressions and comparisons to the SW3 and A3s when they arrive.

There's a very large variety of Knowles BA's so could really be any configuration. I'm not familiar enough with the variety of silver-titanium dynamic drivers to comment on that.

I'm really looking forward to hear your thoughts about how the SW3 and A4 compares.

TwinACStacks has them both as well I believe.

Even if it was the same BAs and DD, the back filter and nozzles would alter the base A3/S fixed SQ presentation.

But I got a confirmation these are new by PM.

New BAs beeing used? That sounds very interesting. Now i'm looking forward to hearing them even more :)

They are custom-made BAs to get right down to it.

I think ATM the best hybrid companies including LZ are operating on a 2x/3x price/performance multiplier (price you pay vs the quality you are getting) against western IEM companies...generally.

Look how rapid things have moved in less than 2 years with iterations.
