Have you receive your PM4,???
Hey guys, first time posting here, been a lurker for a while.
I'm rather new to audiophile world and I have a couple of questions.
I just bought a pair of LZ-A4 to pair with my iPod classic 7th gen and I was wondering how much these IEM would benefit from adding an amplifier to the iPod.
Also, would it be worth it to invest in a Fiio X5 2nd gen to get the most out of it? Is my setup alone enough to get the full glory out of the LZ A4 given that the files I'm playing on my iPod are lossless?
Thank you for your help,
Marcel
They sound surprisingly good out my Macbook Air but I'll only be using them with an amp and DAC as I know good can sound much better with dedicated equipment.
Fiio have a new A5 amp and Cayin C5 is also a great small amp for the price....C5 has a more character signature style to it, warm almost tubey presentation.
I'm not sure how good the DAC section is on that older source iPod equipment though....
So from what I understand, they would benefit from using a dac+amp combo. But is the sound quality that you would gain worth investing 600$ (Fiio X5II+A5)?
ANYTHING would benefit using a dac amp combo outside a Mac Book.
Because standard apple audio output is crap.
If you plan to use a large headphone , A mojo , an oppos HA2 or a Burson AIr are ideal partner.
If you want to use small iem , a small audio quest DragonFly would do the trick at a smaller budget.
LZA4 are ideal partners of DAP's and don't need no amp at all.
Thank you very much. Now, I just need to figure out if the upgrade from iPod Classic to Fiio X5II is worth it![]()
easy question: iPod outputs are crap, like macbook outputs and iPhone outputs are... so go my friend , go !

Got it today and unfortunately it's broken. When I took them out of the ears to try different filters the left filter stayed in my ear and now I'm not able to fit any filter properly to the left earpiece.
We'll, I'd guess it's pretty obvious what I'd recommend lol.....
So sad friend , it's really so painful when get something like this after a long time waiting , i am wonder why trinity unable to manage proper quality control for their products and pm4 is their 2nd flagship iem and peoples had pre- ordered for it since June and after 6 months of waiting i think 50% of buyers get defective iems ,,,,
