Have you ran the ISP Tool with admin privilege?Yes, I did all of that.
To upload the firmware, I am using the LP Tool. I select "file," click on the .bin file for the new firmware, then click on "auto," and let the updater run. It runs until it says, "verifying success." So it seems like it should be working, but there is obviously something I'm not doing correctly.
Leaving as a .rar file, the update tool doesn't let me locate and select it. I'm only able to select .bin or .binary filesyou don't unzip the firmware file. leave it zipped
Yes and no.So the recovery driver works, ISP tool works, you have the actual firmware as bin. file and it successfully updates the W2 but you still don't get sound?
the firmware file present as .bin (ISO) on my win 11 computer and is recognized by the upgrade toolYes and no.
It all seems to work, but when I 2x check the FW version, it is the old version (1.0.3.6). And, my iPhone doesn't recognize the W2 is connected.
Yes that's not the issue...the file I downloaded is a .rar file (this is the format it's in on the google drive), which I've extracted to a .bin file. The tool recognizes the latter, not the former.the firmware file present as .bin (ISO) on my win 11 computer and is recognized by the upgrade tool
Delete uninstall everything restart your computer and do it again.Yes and no.

If it's rar you need to unrar it first, if it's bin, it's already ready to use.you don't unzip the firmware file. leave it zipped
I guess it downloaded as a .bin for meIf it's rar you need to unrar it first, if it's bin, it's already ready to use.
W2 Is really a great USB DAC and hopefully all problems will be solved. Let us know.My W2-131 is stuck on verifying success. Colour shown in the top right is green.
beautiful setup, may i ask what eartips is that? Not hearing any significant change on OG with new firmware. Might be a slight tinge softer, less jittery. Definitely didn't make it sound worse or turned into a brick. All good.
