All my IEMs are under $300 due to I cannot cross the psychological barrier when I believe that price difference does not give the same increase in sound quality. So my most expensive cable costs $180. Sorry.
That CEMA cable gives quite smooth sound, with tighter and deeper bass, the mids are very good for female vocals, the treble becomes like as rounded, without sharpness, but with better resolution and details.

I'm not sure about the term "more weight treble", but warmer and softer treble - that's about the cable.

8 core, pretty soft and handles well, not much microphonics, connectors and splitter feels like alu or some other metal and seem ok to me qualitywise, earhooks not as stiff, the material has a hint of being sticky but it is very slight, would have looked better with silver hardware on the EA500. A solid budget cable. Perhaps the Xinhs/ivipQ stores has the same cable in other colors if you are not feeling purple.

XINHs often have a silver/black 5N 8 core silver plated cable with the same spec as the purple/silver one as their cheapest discounted option. Another thing to bear in mind is that XINHS haven't been supplying the smaller cases for a while, but ivipQ still does.

Hi All,
I did a quick browse through the 500 odd pages and need advice.
I'm using a 64 audio Fourte and I've tried these cables so far:

• The old stock cable
• Tripowin C8
• Penon Pac480
• Impi by Doctor Juggles
• EA Eros S

Of all these, I've found the Tripowin C8 to be the best sounding thanks to the way it tames the highs. But I feel like there's more to be explored. I've been recommended the Kinera Leyding but I'm yet to try them.
I don't want to go to the pricey 1950s territory. Can you guys recommend something that lives upto the title of this thread?

Tripowin has made very good cables (flexibility, color, quality control) like tripowin jelly or zoe. A little overpriced, but i had a few bad quality cable from kbear and nicehck, so tripowin never disappoints...

True. For the price, the C8 really does great. Haven't tried Kbear or NiceHCK yet and don't think I will anytime soon

Five? I was feeling guilty at having bought four! NiceHCK is responsible for a good chunk of my cable collection. PurpleSE and C16-3 are another couple of favorites. I only buy during sales and never had a faulty cable from them. XINHS, ivipQ and Tripowin have been good too. Only had a couple of KBEAR cables so really can't comment, but all included cables with TRI IEM sets have been fine.

Some considerations...
The BlackSoul doesn't look as dramatic as I thought.
The BlackCat looks amazing.
The PurpleSE looks better in real life.

Been a fan of the XINHS silver plated copper for along while, decided to also get the pure copper version. Its a little thinner, softer and flexible.
As for sound its an very good copper cable for its price, not a cable that is going to hold back your IEM.

Not sure if IE80 takes standard MMCX. Try Faael or Openheart?
