Lotoo Paw 6000 (2019)

It's interesting because I'm living with folks who are used to playing music from their smart phones, and they saw me with the LP 6000 and said that it looked like it was from the 1960's...

Hey we're all audiophiles and these are our shiny toys. I bet you they look cooler than smartphones anyway.

LOL, just tell them you like older gadgets. They never need to know differently.

Hi everyone, I have 2 questions for you.
I am interested on getting the Asgard 3 (Schitt desktop amp) to connect with the Paw 6000.
Should I go with a 4.4 balanced Pentaconn to RCA connector cable?
Anyone using a external amp with their Paw 6000?
Thank you

3.5mm to RCA would be cheaper and far more available. I'd recommend something like this - https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07BLMCKP3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A3VCJVNMS7G01Z&psc=1 For the 4.4mm, you'd have to go for something customised. Plussound would be good.

On the external amp issue, I connect mine to a Romi Audio BX2 5w balanced amp and it sounds beautiful. I'm beginning to prefer this pairing over my desktop set-up. So clean, so precise. Now that the S1 is out, I hope at some point Lotoo will do a fullscale desktop DAC.

You will not be able to do that. You will need to use the 3.5 output. So 3.5 to RCA. The A3 is SE only.

Thanks GC335.
Thought the balanced line out of the dap to rca input of the amp was OK since its analog.
Now I am wondering if I should go with the Asgard 3 or wait for a future balanced connection (no Jot).
I tried the A3 at Canjam NY with my headphones only and loved it.
If I had the money I would go with the HeadAmp GS-X mini.

The A3 is a super clean amp and a great value. I might have talked to you. I worked the Schiit booth at CanJam NYC.

As far as I know you should have zero issues using the 3.5 LO on the Paw. They seem to have very similar signature from both outputs. Theoretically you shouldn't notice a difference with LO mode.

Another option is to just pick up a Modius to stack with it.

The excitement is back. Thanks again GC335.

I had some coworkers come into my office and look at my 1Z. They joked and snickered about me needing to catch up with the time and use Bluetooth from my phone. Lol I played along. They won’t understand 😎

Bluetooth from a phone is like Chevy or Ford. Many have them. A WM1Z is more like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, which few people own.

I ordered the Asgard 3 and the Modius. Yes!

I really hope that one day they make an upgraded version of this player so it includes Tidal. :)
