Lotoo Paw 6000 (2019)

Even though the 6000 doesn't use the blackfin, the peq is still really good. Very easy to tune your sound and doesn't seem to add any distortion.

I believe the PEQ and ADI Blackfin DF706 have no relation in the LPGT and the Blackfin is used for DSD reprocessing on the fly to DSD512 i.e. DSD 64/128/256 to the AKM4497EQ Max of DSD512

The LPG and PAW5K/MKII use the ADI Blackfin 514 to run the OS and PEQ/ATE

The LPGT and PAW6000 use the i.MX 6 ARM to run the OS and PEQ/ATE

The LPGT and PAW6000 use the Ingenic x1000 MIPS for Wifi

The LPGT AKM4137EQ is used for it's XRC up-sampling feature. When enabled it is up-Sampling on the fly from any frequency to the AKM4497EQ Max of 768Khz

I know I'm going to rehash the old wound, but just for the reference, here and here

Yep like I said before, the n6ii is a better deal with all you get. The English paw6000 is definitely not a value king.

Really depends what you're looking for... I'd say PAW6000 is really great value for money....

Lol Sorry guys I was under the assumption the peq on the lpgt was better because it used the blackfin.

The peq on the 6000 is outstanding and does what I want it too so no worries anyways :) But that info does make sense since the 6000 basically has 2 processors with the x1000 and imx6

I would too  I was just going by features and the more complex operating system. But I know the Asian 6000 version is cheaper :frowning2:

But yes, beauty/value is in the eyes of the beholder.

Does the lp6k has a volume normalize function? My dsf files has a very low volume.

You can adjust gain defaults to 0dB but you can go +6dB also check that you have in Filter : DSD > range : Normal or range:Extended

I have to say that this player has grown on me. Or rather- perhaps the default tuning has the treble too hot for my taste. However- with the ‘ATE’ setting on ‘sweet’ - it tames it down and has quite a nice presentation. Very, very clean, very even presentation. ‘Sweet’ doesn’t sound sweet (nor do I want it to), but it simply allows you to focus on the rest of the music bandwidth.

Quite a nice sounding player- listening to the marantz HiFi/audiophile test tracks ... ooohh boy. Very nice.

I suppose this sound signature might not be for everyone, and I’m only auditioning the unit, but I have to say, I wish I could listen just a little longer...

Don't really even think this thing has a 'sound signature' of it's own tbh it's just totally transparent and follows the cans/iems signatures. Most players add some here and there a bit. When I used the n6ii and my iems sounded pretty close in signature, more so than the 6000 in which they really sound different. It doesn't smooth anything out, but with a good file and smooth cans/iems it's as smooth as silk.
