Hobbies can be expensive. I like headphones but I like speakers even more and yeah I am a fan of photography as well. They are all expensive and enjoyable.

i'm in the same boat as the op.
i'm starting to think that this head-fi business doesn't fit my lifestyle. i usually prefer to listen to my music in the background, but when i listen to my k701s, i feel obligated to spend all my concentration on them entirely. that really screws up my priorities when studying. sometimes i just end up playing my music through my POS logitech speakers or even my laptop speakers.
as of now, i'm entertaining the idea of selling all my gear except for my ksc75s.
