Looking for recomendations for a dac and an amp. Or a single device that acts as both.

My budget is 100$  I have a desktop, so an iternal soundcard is possible.

anyway.  I would like DAC and AMP recomendations.  I am looking at the e09k, but I am wondering how well it handles being a DAC as well as an amp.  All suggestions(except keep onboard) are welcome.  My headphones are sennheiser hd558s, and I am debating on whether to mod them or not.

The Fiio E09K only functions as a DAC when combined with the Fiio E17. You might want to look at the E17 on it's own (it has it's own amp & dac) and as & when funds allow, you could always add the E09K onto it - if you feel the need. The 558's have 50 Ohm drivers, so the E17 should cope with them fine - and improve your sound.

You might also want to look at the E10...which is cheaper and will also cope with your 558's...at $55
