i wear hearing aids, so in order for me to listen to my music at top detail, i would have to wear my hearing aids and headphones around them,
so i'm looking for some high quality headphones with $300 budget, if you think a pair of head phones with a portable amp at that price would work better then just headphones at that price, i'll take that

So if i understand your needs, you are looking for full sized cans with large ear cups, and probably closed design. Right?

No musical tastes? No source device? I'd say beyerdynamic DT880. Or the Denon D2000. Lookie here: http://www.headphone.com/headphones/full-size.php?price=500
Although I'd be interested in how the hearing aids mangle the sound.

Problem is, most (if not all) phones at this price point require proper amping. I don't know about the Ultrasones, but the beyers most definitely need amping. Or maybe the Beats by Dr. Dre?
