My Little Dot YD L2 arrives today so leave some impressions in comparison to Woo WA5 LE with Mundorf caps. I'm hoping it is close in sound and can compete with the WA5 LE at a much cheaper price. I do have Woo WA234 being built and that will be my real amp in reality. The YD L2 was a compulsive buy for under 3 grand why not.

for 3 grand it’s amazing sounding amp for my office. The tube choice for drivers is good.

Edit:

Amp lasted few hours as the power supply went boom.

So noise is tube issue with 6sh7 so I ordered more because they cheap!
Great sounding amp but needs a soft circuit for turn on. I just wait 10 seconds then plug load in. Sound wise more then good enough to choose this over WA5 LE if you want 300b amp. but the one 6sh7 is causing turn on and continues to buzz on that tube.

Got the LD-Y2 to complement with my setup. Got a pair of ACME 274B and 2021 WE 300B and it sounds really amazing with wide soundstage, smooth and forward mid and great dynamics. A pair of WE 717A is on the way to replace the 6SH7, and will try to roll a pair of WE 274B as an all WE combo.

Those look like 274A not B you should mention that so no one screws up listening to the company like I did.

One of the rectifiers is 274A with adaptor while the other is 274B which is a matching pair in measurement. I feel sorry for your experience and hope that it can be sorted out soon.

Don’t use any other 274 type but western electric. Been told not to use PSvane. So if my power supply went boom due to my eml 274 b don’t use those.

I have previously used a pair of Psvane ACME 274B but luckily it worked without problem. I have also used a pair of Mullard GZ33 without issue.

Then there’s a big disconnect in the company not knowing what they are telling me.
