I sadly read somewhere that RaySamuel's Intruder (DAC+AMP) do NOT work with iPad+CCK ? Can someone confirm ?

Yes.
I got the Firestone Bravo USB converter to work, but only with a powered hub.

As I reported in the AudioQuest DragonFly review thread:
I can confirm that the T3Hub with the CCK works 100% with the iPad 4/Dragonfly combination. Listening to it now and no issues I can detect. Of course, without the T3Hub the iPad balks and displays "too much power" warning.

I made a separate post but repeating it here: After much research, I found the smallest self pwoered hub that avoids the dreaded "too much power" issue.
Is is available on ebay:

I have tested it with an ipad, iphone and ipad mini. You do not need an external power supply and works with the dragonfly.
(I have no connection with the seller)

Hey guys, I just found this thread, as I am looking ofr a good DAC for my IPAD.
I have an Sony AMP at home and want tom connect my IPAD via a DAC to it.
Can you name some DACs which really improve the sound quality compared to the IPAD line-out ?
My Price Limit is about 100 $
I would really appreciate your recommendations,
greetings,, Tone
Edit : Will this DAC work with the IPAD ? : Hifimediy Sabre USB DAC

There's a list on the first page, but basically since you get power through USB, some DACs totally rely on that, like the UDAC. Others may have a battery or PSU but may use USB to power the USB receiver chip, maybe even the entire digital section up to the DAC, like the Superpro707.

Not without a powered USB hub, but do note not all hubs work.

What amp is this? If it's a home theater receiver with digital inputs you can get the Pure i20 made for iPod digital dock, then use SPDIF out of it and into the receiver, which means you'd be using the (most likely measures better) DAC on the Sony.

It's not enough to pass data since latest iOS firmware has same sort of check power req that's independent from data pass, for example my Tekkeon charger pass data and powers the USB DAC iBasso D7 but won't work in connection with the iPad 1 or 4 I've without a USB Hub, so a direct test is needed. A safer bet is a USB Hub which even if not powered can pass the check power like the T3Hub which is reported working with Dragonfly. I'll test it soon to check if my D7 works too.
And the Duracell charger things has an input and output port, so it allows the data signal to pass through it. Sounds promising for portable iPad hifi systems.

Ok, so, been reading up on this thread a bit, anyone tell me what the best option is (iPad mini in my car) to charge the ipad and also get digital out? (Via OPTICAL cable?)
What's DAC's should I be looking at? HRT iStreamer or is there an equivalent which is cheaper?

I have the HRT iStreamer. If you connect one of the many iPhone or iPad battery packs available on the market to it, it works fine. But then of course if you take it out for a walk it will look ridiculous - iPhone or iPad plus iStreamer plus battery pack plus headphone amp plus headphones

tested this with HRT Headstreamer and it works, eliminating the "too much power" warning. Still not working for DACport LX , unfortunately

Confirmed this weekend that the following all work with my ipad4 -> CCK lightning, via the powered hub in my monitor:
-JDS odac
-Blue Circle USB Thingee transport
-Topping tp30 dac/tamp combo
Note that all three return the too much power error if plugged in without the hub. I don't own, and have not had a chance to try them with, an unpowered hub.
