Has anyone tested this with a non-android digital audio player? I'm thinking of trying this with my Shanling M0, but don't want to bite the $30.00 mystery bullet.

Well, i did on my shanling m1 and it works, volume, pause works fine.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks with my Ipad pro and it works perfect. Now I can use the cipher cable on my EL8 and iSine 10's which sounds much better than the headphone adapter from Apple. And no need to change cables to use with my iPhone.

I wonder if this will work as easily on my Wacom tablet as it does with my MACs?

MacBook Pro, Windows Surface, Google Pixel 2/3, Razer Phone, RED Hydrogen, Samsung Galaxy S9. It seems quite robust.

Thank you for that information. Very helpful. I’m usually on a Mac but I do use a Wacom pen tablet for work a good bit and it’s running Windows 10 so this should be good to go for it!

That cipher cable and this will than a MacBook into a HiFi system.

I strongly suggest mmcx cipher cables.

Yes. The audio is passed through USB-C to the DAC/AMP/DSP in the lightning cable.
