Light Harmonic Geek Wave

REALLY bad news just received from LH LABS, guys. As I mentioned, I’m still awaiting a Geek Pulse, and you have expressed that some of you are awaiting items from earlier campaigns too. Unfortunately, Larry has just released a chart stating that the Geek Pulse orders were fulfilled 100% (ANOTHER blatant and outright lie coming direct from Larry Ho) and that the delivery of these units is “Complete”. There are other items listed as having been delivered 100% and you may wish to check to see if items you are still awaiting are no longer going to be delivered. Here’s the link to Larry’s creative chart.

I’ve NEVER had anybody lie to me as consistently and brazenly as @Larry Ho because if anyone did in my personal life, I would leave them. It is remarkably difficult to get away from Larry’s fanciful, spam emails - all of which reveal this guy is addicted to making charts and maps instead of delivering actual products.

Yeah..I'm with you.
Sceptic as I'm due to the LHL experience I had so far I don't expect much.
Source shipping in September???? How many? 1? 2? None?

Good luck to the new customer guy (guess you are meant @stuck limo, right? ) ...maybe he can calm us down.

Also interesting that they changed their instagram account again: now to LHL2017.
Kind of strange for a company to act like that.

If you bother to read down toward the bottom of the progress chart, it sais:
Geek Pulse Infinity, S Infinity ... ... 85.9% shipped.

For some reason they lump all kinds of stuff into the Geek Pulse line, but separate out the Pulse Infinity models.

Lits of vitriol posted because of not fully reading and comprehending a poorly formed chart.

Why have you not fully read, or comprehended our posts?

For instance, I have stated I am awaiting a standard Geek Pulse.

I also have no problems with reading the chart which states that delivery of these units is complete and that they are 100% shipped - whilst they ignore all my Customer Support requests.

Seriously JP, do you REALLY need to act as an apologist for LH Labs so egregiously consistently .... especially when you “massage” the facts and statements which we present in your response?

It is VERY easy to “win” an argument if you just misrepresent what the opposing party has stated.

What’s done is done and misrepresenting what is currently happening will NOT rectify the issue.

Stating “all this vitriol” is due to us being “unable to read a chart” is a truly insensitive misrepresentation of our concerns (at least, the concerns of many of us) and of the LH Labs situation.

I guess people can debate what has and what has not been shipped based on Larry's current table, but what caught my eye was expected delivery date for the Geek Wave ("release candidate" whatever this means) is scheduled for the 4th week in Oct 2017.... I hope we would get some kind of sneak peak at a functioning, independent prototype of the Geek Wave before the release, so by my calendar, Larry has somewhere less than 7 weeks to show us and the rest of the world a Geek Wave.

Yeah I saw that too. Not holding my breath though. We'll see...I'm on the hook for a Wave and a Source.

I don't seem to have missed that you were awaiting a "standard" Geek Pulse. I had forgotten the fact that you specifically were awaiting delivery of this model of the Geek Pulse. Also, many people use the name Geek Pulse to refer to any and all models of the Geek Pulse DACs in normal conversation. We do know that many are still awaiting delivery of Geek Pulse X infinity DACs, so in forgetting your specific case and lack of specificity in your previous post, I erroneously assumed that you were just using the common shorthand of not spelling out the entire long name of the infinity model instead of not specifying the standard base model Geek Pulse DAC.

I am in no way ashamed of being a frequent poster in the all but dead LH Labs forum. Also, I do not consider myself to be an apologist to their utterly incompetent communication and apparent extreme lack of corporate management skills. I do post plausible real world alternatives to the frequent and skewed attacks on Larry Ho and LH Labs. I have no great love of Larry or LH Labs and have posted a number of negative comments myself - I guess that you have missed those. I am not in the habit of calling people liars and thieves unless there is substantial evidence to that effect. Rather, what you seem to consider being an apologist it me offering reasonable and plausible alternatives to accusations of truly antisocial behaviors.

I do hope that LH Labs most recent communication specialist helps them to get back on track and that all of the wonderful and complete information that will soon begin issuing forth (okay, even I don't believe all that will really happen) will quell some of the unrest in the rather large community of crowdfunding backers who are awaiting delivery of geossly overdue projects that were backed years ago. We shall have to wait and see what Jarek can achieve within the limits of the dysfunctional LH Labs company. I would give him about a month to start showing results. I can't speculate on how many months it will take before he finally burns out on this seemingly impossible task. Unfortunately, several have tried and failed, and we don't have any details of why and how Casey and the others parted ways with LH Labs.

Oh well... long post, late night... further communication later.

FYI, a release candidate usually refers to a version of software in beta, meaning a "potential" candidate for a production release.

Release candidate. A release candidate (RC), also known as "going silver", is a beta version with potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge.

Thanks for your post.

So does this only refer to software, or can it also refer to a potential complete prototype version, case and all? OR, are we just going to have to wait for the new communications fellow to give some us further insight?

Exactly as you said Gery. A Release Candidate is the same in hardware too: a product that is in the final stages of development, and the current beta is under consideration for final production tooling pending verification and lack of significant bugs.

I am a bit disappointed, as I was under the impression that the June/July build was an RC. Perhaps it was, but they did find bugs of sufficient magnitude to require another spin to correct them before being considered for production. If this is the case, it would have been nice for Larry to tell us so that we know of and understand the delay. Just a little communication could make things much less contentious.

Agreed. This is probably RC2 if it is the June/July build still slowly progressing. If it is another spin then it may be RC3. Hopefully the October build will be THE release hardware. How long does it take to find all of the design and layout errors?

Can anyone tell me what the Standalone DAC Upgrade is? I do not recall any perk by that name and I think I signed up for all the best options available but it is so long ago I am no longer sure what is what. I did sign up for a charging cradle or whatever they call it so that I could use it while it was charging. I think that was the diea...not sure.
I must admit I am not a audio expert at all so if a name change or synonym is used I get totally confused.
I ask because I am wondering if I missed out on something.
Oh well at least I have a red GO2 something attached my computer putput to my hifi system that works well.
