So a friend of mine offered to sell me a few pairs of spare leather headphone pads. These are the genuine leather pads offered for the dt770 and dt880 headphones.
 
My dt770s need new pads, but I'm hesitant of buying more than one pair, and here is my question:
 
If leather headphones pads are bought but not used, and instead stored away in a non-humid storage box, how long will they last before the leather beings to disintegrate, peel off, or harden?

genuine leather doesn't peel off AFAIK, that's the whole point of it
