I hope someone from LG is monitoring this thread. Hope they'll come up with a software update to fix this issue. Because if not, it really is disappointing.

Maybe we can send an email to LG?

I believe LG will fix any issues in the next FW updates. They are quite good at it with the recent models. And they really listen to customers. May be you can report any issues regarding the ESS chip directly to the LG @Whitigir ?

LOL!  Was it really necessary to quote all of that, just to respond with one sentence?

(ok, ok, it was 3 sentences!)

Back to seriousness for a moment....

It's nice that us audiophiles have some geek programmers amongst us, globally-speaking, who are willing and able to do what the smartphone vendors may not be willing to do.

Sorry :D. I am on iPad, and it sucks for quoting correctly. I should not have quoted lol. I wouldn't be trying to program or override the stock driver, I wouldn't know how either. I am sure someone will as this is the advantage of Android, being open sources, and people who love to tinker with it and all :D

Any user mods would be done with root access. How is LG with allowing users to gain root? I know with a lot of phones now it is either very hard or impossible.

Exactly....but again, android fan will have no problem playing around with it. LG is the same as Samsung, a little on the friendly side to rooting as the last thing I know. V10 is too new, and so nobody can confirm anything.

At the least you got the confirmation from me about the Hifi sound. It is not just marketing :D. It is good !

Didn't test but seems already possible

http://guidebelajar.blogspot.com/2015/10/guide-how-to-root-lg-v10-using-framaroot.html

If only it hadn't taken so long for a root to finally be released for the LG V10.

Hardly seems worth bothering now, after so long...

I mean, it's been literally several days since the V10 was released!
