Picked up #001 a few weeks ago at the SoCal Meet. Luis has outdone himself with this one. I haven't had a whole lot of time these past couple of weeks to seriously sit down and listen to them due to mid-terms, papers, life... but I'll be posting some thoughts soon.
Thank you, daigo. They are absolutely stunning. I will reach out to Thomann to see what it will cost to have one shipped to Texas. It's a shame there are no domestic dealers.
Bah, I'm no photographer but I took those. Glad you enjoyed the pictures nonetheless. Daigo is correct, that is a Rooms headphone stand (macassar ebony).

That is a stunning piece of kit. I looked at their website (in German). Looks like the woods they've used in the past have been designated as endangered so their Italian supplier is now producing some sort of emulation that's supposed to be as attractive. Hard to envision how it could possibly be nearly as beautiful but I'll see what they tell me. Too bad there's no domestic dealers that I've found (I'm Texas based)...
On a more related note, I was reading this thread (only got to page 16 thus far so forgive me if I've missed parts) as I'm interested in a reference grade set of cans that are comfortable and not terribly clinical (I don't think I'd enjoy HD800's for example). I'm using a Woo WA7 for listening and was looking at Fostex TH900's. Please feel free to comment if you have any thoughts. I'm not a super clinical listener yet...I like my music on the fun/warmer side but would like to explore a pair of high grade cans to be used at home.

I don't have the TH900's, but from your description of you preferences, it sounds like the Enigma's are right up your alley. I have much brighter cans like the HD800's and Stax 009. The Enigmas are not what I would call neutral, but fun and I think Luis' description of them sounding "romantic" is spot on. I like bright and analytical, but I seem to reach for the Enigma's more often. They are not fatiguing at all and have a beautiful mid range.

Thank you, darinf. The Enigmas do look to be interesting. I need to get through the rest of the thread to see if some of the missing information has been posted. Specfically, a feel for turnaround time, cost and more impressions from users. I'm also in serious lust with my Woo WA7. I'm curious of the pairing. I find the Woo to be laid back and the background to be completely black...just love the darn thing and I haven't even gotten past the stock tubes to the gold plated Electro Harmonix after A LOT of listening. Whatever cans I get, they need to pair well with the amp. The Woo is the head of the household for now...
