Lets Talk Metal

I don't listen to a lot of DM these days, but I still like Morbid Angel and have high hopes for the new album. Steve Tucker says it will "be a proper death metal album." It can hardly help but be an improvement over "Illiud"!

Really digging the Wormwood album, frigging amazing. I am not that big on black metal, what are some other bands that have similar melody, vocal style, and production (production is the main reason I never really got into BM)

Save this playlist link and refer to it whenever you want to get to know black metal better. It's pretty diverse.

I've been thinking about this very recently. The 60's albums have a clear but very thin sound. So does In rock which is the 1970's albeit the early 70's. The best? The Battle Rages On maybe? Or possible House Of Blue Light?. Purpendicular?

Damn good list. My only gripe is it isn't categorized in any way. I feel like if people could know what kind of BM each band is that would help a lot.

The purpose of that playlist was to showcase the diversity of the genre, so it's a little random. It's meant to be listened through from beginning to end for those who have the time and inclination. Categorization is too limiting anyway. People might steer clear from something because they see a buzzword they don't like, without even knowing anything about it.

Granted, but I'm not sure anyone is really up for listening through a hundred albums front to back in sequence. XD

Thanks, good list! Have heard a quite a few of them before. Your playlist made me recall how good Rotting Christ is.
