I've been a Nokturnal Mortum fan for...hmm...somewhere between ten and fifteen years!
Be sure to hear their other material, especially Lunar Poetry and To The Gates Of Blasphemous Fire.
Weltanschauung is another one of my favorites. I got both versions: the main one along with Мировоззрение, which is basically a different recording of the same album.
Since you mentioned Drudkh and Hate Forest...you should also check out Astrofaes. The same band members are involved.
It's fun in that it's experimental and easy to listen to. There is an almost surf guitar amp setting and a tight bouncing bass and rhythm support. It's completely a home brew experience. But that uniqueness is what made it special. The way the songs progressed until the bigger keys and effect of the last song.
I could not put it to be like any band. Maybe a little groove like old Ancient, but no one has that style. Sounds like it was recorded with old Russian tube amps or something. Warm and warped. Laugh.

Plebian Grandstand with another album of the year contender! A little darker and sludgier in tone this time through, love it. Still liked the vocals on Lowgazers a bit more though.
Closest I've seen are the Earache FDR releases. Entombed's Left Hand Path is certainly improved, but I could certainly see a lot of metal fans preferring the louder, more compressed version as well. I think most of the songs are DR12 or around there.
Withered's new LP showed up on my doorstep this afternoon a couple days early! Got to listen to part of side A on my lunch break, sounding pretty good!
