I currently have a Meier Corda Opera Amp (with DAC). It seems the LCD-2's are really highly regarded. What are your opinions as to how they might work together?
I'm concerned that the planars might require too much current for the Opera (which are fantastic with my current 600 Ohm DT880's), especially as the HiFiMan Planars seem to enjoy full speaker amps.
Or on another note, what other good options are there for the LCD-2 pricerange ($800-ish pre-enjoyed) that might work well with the Corda Opera? I'm looking for something fast, detailed, and precise (like fingers-hitting-the-fingerboard on a violin detail), that work well with Classical stringed instruments and female vocals (a la Dido)
