Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.

if they only had a bit more of bass...................

They do, and they are called "sportapro"!

Seriously, I often prefer the portapro/sportapro drivers (on the parts express headband) over the ksc75 drivers when I'm in the mood for more bass. The drivers sit lightly on the ears when using the parts express headband, so you don't get the over abundant (imo) bass that you get when using the portapro or sportapro headbands.

The Elusive (outside the US) Parts Express Headband, now less elusive

Back in April I was thinking about supplying the Parts Express headband for the KSC75s to those of us not fortunate enough to be 'Born in the USA'. Well after a bit of a delay (other stuff came up) I've got it all done. Special thanks to BloodyPenguin.

Good luck. If you were doing it for Canadian purchasers, I'd be demanding that you get it done lol!

Nicely done! I think that works out to $18CN shipped to Canada. Beats the $32.85 shipped from Parts Express. Good work! May you sell gazillions of them!

Cool! Let me know what you think of them in stock form. You'll be getting more bass fer sure (they are the same drivers as the portapros).

If you want to decrease the bass a bit and get it more controlled, Trindysmom's mods are good:

Or, you can throw them on a parts express headband.

Lots of options! Enjoy.

@satansmutt

Good to know. Quite a bit of site and packaging testing was done, but there's no substitute for real customers, and it's really good to know all went smoothly -- really appreciate the feedback.

@any-other-customers

Should any other people find this thread and purchase the Parts Express headband from GP-Net, and wish to offer feedback either positive or negative (especially any criticism regarding site functionality or packaging) then please do so via the contact form on the site. That way I can improve the site and resolve any issues that arise.

As everyone here knows this is a thread dedicated to the Koss KSC75's and IMO it's not really the place for specific retailer feedback.

----

All that said, in this particular instance -- thanks satansmutt for the feedback and I'm glad you like the headband.

I purchased my first pair approximately a month ago and only have good things to say about them.
I've owned on-ear and full size headphones costing more than 1k and prefer the ksc75 over everything for pure music enjoyment.
They are just so comfortable and with such a fun and non fatiguing sound signature. The bass is punchy, clear with forwards mids, revealing treble with a very airy stage stage.
Since these were my first clip on headphones, I made the mistake of purchasing the yuin g1a thinking if I spend more money on clip-ons, I would get better sound quality and boy was I wrong.
If it weren't for the poor isolation and leakage, I would be happy to sell of all my other gear and vow to never upgrade to anything ever again.

I don't know why people would want to replace the clip with a headband when all it takes to get the ear pads to rest firmly on the ears without them flapping about is my by simply squeezing the clips together to lessen the space between ear pads and ear.

After tightening the clips I find them comfortable enough to wear all day without fatigue and secure enough to the point that not only will they not fall off with my head but the ear pads will stay rested on my ears even if I tilt my head 90 degrees or am hanging upside down.

Pros compare to iem:
-perfect fit for any ears
-wider sound stage due to much larger drivers
-can share with other people without worrying about hygiene or the need for changing tips
-more comfortable and eliminates irritation to ear canal.

Con compared to iem:
-Not as portable being slightly bigger and hard to pack away.

Pros compare to headphones:
-much more portable
-much more comfortable- zero clamping force
-fits more secure than most headphones
-doesn't mess up your hair

Cons compare to headphones:
-smaller sound stage due to smaller driver

pro/con:
Zero isolation (could be considered pro or con depending on the user. For me it's a pro cos I wear then in class and can still socialize with others around.
