Has anyone tried Silver Castor and Pianist? Are they close to technical aspects such as resolution or it's better to go directly for the Pianist?
Castor Harman is safer choice. Less intense and with better timbre. IMO too Pianist is bit too intense (at about 4-6khz) for modern music, but nice for classical.

I have both Castor, while i can see why the strong bass of Castor bass winning a lot of people favors

i still partial to Castor Harman. it have "cleaner" bass while still relatively maintain the quality. the vocal is more forward than Castor bass
it have weakness to be a bit shouty at higher volume but with good eartips and the current volume at listen to it,
it still super nice.

Tangzu Wan'er for mild update
I just ordered a pair of Tangzu Wan'er SG (mic-version). Once again, thank you for the advice. :)

It's a bit late to the party but I have just ordered the AS16 pro from Ali Express for £26. Amazing price. I couldn't resist!

The AS16 pro, normal version, is very good.
I use the normal version with a CCA BTX bluetooth set - the high impedance with on my desktop, needs more power.

@Nimweth I hope KZ releases a good pair of earbuds, I love the TRN EMX but would like a version of KZ. Have you an idea how the TRN EMX compares to your Smabat's?

Hi
I do not have the TRN EMX so I cannot compare with the Smabat ST-10Sand M1 earbuds. The only other earbuds I have are the Fiio FF1. They are nowhere near as good as the Smabat models.

I like the smooth treble of the AS16 Pro (18ohm) for music that can play a little hot to sibilant and was curious about affect of the impedance adapters and whether or not the high impedance version is worth the double-dip. From researching, I was under the impression that with an impedance adapter that I could just plug and play and not add peq but I found out that wasn't the case; which is fine. Of the different plugs I tried: 80, 30, 25, and 18 ohm, 25 ohm seems to be the best as it only required peq to bring the highs closer to stock. I was also going to try out a 36ohm plug so as to bring the as16 pro close to the high impedance version #'s of ~54ohms but my current setup is great (think I found my endgame sound signature), so a buy only if there's a good deal for it.

**30ohm is also good but compared to the 25ohm, it has more bass.

As a consequence, I tried out different adapters for the ASF too. I didn't find to ASF to be too dark oob as I use a proper dac for all my gear. The 18ohm plug is the best as it seems to leave the bass relatively the same, if not slightly higher, and really opens up the treble with requiring peq to lower the 5k peak.

0.75mm and 0.78 mm really doesn't make a difference. I can assure you that their manufacturing tolerances are not precise to 0.01 of an mm.

I've been using 0.75mm cables with 0.78mm IEMs and vice-versa since forever. Everything works as it should and nothing has broken.
OH MY GOD. You have no idea how this has helped me. I've been in the hunt for 2-pin 0.75mm since FOREVER. My IEMs are all 0.75mm non-QDC connector. The only one available cable in market is 0.75mm QDC. The only cable that fit it is the now extinct TRN T1 0.75 2-pin. Now i just have to look for 2-pin cables for ease of buying. Thanks!
