I thought you meant what I owned. I had the Empyrean on the tour for about a month when they were first introduced and fell in love with them. To me, their SS suites my tastes more then any other HP.
The thing is, I don’t want to spend that kind of money. I have so many other hobbies with my home theater and library of films sucking up most of my money. If I owned them, they would definitely be my fave.

The Empyrean’s are definitely nice headphones. They are undeniably comfortable. I’d love to own a pair but until then the HP-3’s will suffice.

Can anyone reccomend a portable dac/amp to pair with these? Right now im looking at the ifi hipdac and radsone hud100. The chord mojo looks great, but im trying not to spend that much on a portable.

Oh, got it. You should ... keep only the Klipsch HP3 and sell the rest of your HP collection to buy the Empyrean...:open_mouth:

No, it is efficient and Good for ...good portable devices. My Cowon Plenue 2 mkii and Shanling M5s provide more than enough juice over the 2.5 mm balanced output for the HP 3!

I tried HP3 with Shanling M6 pro with SE output high gain (medium option) and sounds amazing!

Just buy the HP 3 and a headamp ( the best is the Klipsch own headamp). Hear it yourself with the head amp then with your Huawei Mate. At any listening level, smartphone can not provide details and bass for hp 3, sorry!

@vodanhkhack Heritage amp could be better than Questyle CMA400i?

@Pigeon X why not a DAP? if you prefer a dac/amp i suggest iFI xDSD, sounds very good!

I haven't tried the Questyle yet. Listen to the Heritage amp at the shop. They were just born to be the couple :L3000:
It 's good that your Shanling M6 pairs well with the Klipsch HP 3. My Shanling M5s is a bit harsh with the HP 3 but the Plenue 2 mkii is awesome !

Have you listened HP with Heritage Amp only?
I've got M6 PRO, is different than M6 ;)
Still you prefer Klipch Heritage amp to Cowon?
