Hi all.

Hi Andrew (@Arcamera) :)

To fully enjoy Rock music, you don't need the most technical and resolute headphones; a very dynamic, visceral, lively sound, not aggressive in the high frequencies is very well suited for this kind of music.
In this genre (Rock), the Vali and the Odin work very well.
The Odin is more resolute than the Vali, but a little more incisive and present in the high frequencies.

You can review below my comparative analogy in image of several headphones with different resolution (note: zoom in on the image to appreciate its full resolution), as well as the difference in saturation/color of the sound/image.

If one were to add the Thekk, the Thekk would be at the same "4K" resolution level as the Thror (Tror on the picture), but with a higher color/sound saturation (color density), intermediate between that of the Odin and the Thror.

I kinda like the 1080p more xD

A headphone with a "tonal density" and a more pronounced coloration than the Thror, but with a lower resolution than the Thror (1080p versus 4 K), perhaps preferred to the Thror.

The Thror is a very neutral, very straight, very colourless, yet very resolute headphones.
Some will prefer the Odin and Thridi, slightly less resolved and technical than the Thror, but more lively and colorful.

Thekk retains the resolution and technicality of the Thror, but with a more lively, dense and natural character than the Thror: it is closer to the Thridi for tonality and "tonal density" while being more detailed and airy.

Thekk can be seen as an upgrade of the Odin Thridi and an alternative version of the Thror, different in tone, fuller and denser, warmer with more bass than the Thror.

They are both breaking in currently as they just got here a few hours ago. These are my first Kennerton headphones so I can't give you a comparison to other models. I will say the HP-1 is audibly technically superior detail/stage/open sounding upon first listen but the HP-2 has this added punch to music that is very addicting. Both of these headphones are more enjoyable and fun to listen to music compared to the LCD-X they replaced.

The hp-1 is oem odin, right?
Pretty sure Hp1 has alloy driver frame instead of steel in the Oden and Thridi. Otherwise they share the same driver. Probably tuned a little differently too.

Hang on, I could be wrong about which driver it uses. Either way they are using a really good driver.

Just a wild guess...but I'm picking your wife never enters your sound room?? Lol

Morning, everyone.

As the N°1 Kennerton fan, if you want to know everything about me (favorite headphones, wife and kids, favorite actress and singer ...)

See in spoiler below.:)

Although French, my wife and me (born in Paris and Lyon) and sharing the values of our beautiful country, the whole family is unconditionally pro-Russian!

My friends, most of them doctors, are also pro-Russian!
Below is the Odin mk1 headphones offered by my friends for my 50th birthday.

And I am also friends with Pierre Paya, the importer of the Kennerton brand in France (here in photo, at my home).

Although pro-Russian (for the music and the headphones), I'm a fervent admirer of US actress Jennifer Lawrence and especially in the Hunger Games saga.
Her rebellious and fighting spirit inspired two of my avatars...... (on Head-Fi).

I've also had a lot of admiration for the French singer of Breton descent, Nolwenn Leroy, since her debut.

My greatest pleasure, at the moment, is to watch Blu-ray movies again on my big Panasonic plasma screen, with my eldest son Raphaël, listening to the soundtracks in Master or True HD quality on headphones, him with the Thror and me with the Thekk (note: Thekk is with the same sensitivity as the Thror).
We are currently reviewing the Hunger Games Saga with my favourite actress in the role of Katniss.

Both headphones (Thror and Thekk) are very efficient for spatialization, aeration, HD definition of the sound, and the most credible rendering of the slightest sound message, such as the sound of a mosquito or a fly crossing the screen ...

Thekk is royal for a home cinema use ! :)

Hey Eric,

My comment was a cheap shot at your messy sound room! But, thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Every time I try to get out of this game something draws me back in..

How's the LSA HP1? Is the timbre natural? How are vocals? Ssss and Fff sounds! How large is the soundstage? Is it open sounding? I’m not a fan of small soundstages like Utopia.

The headphone Guru review kind of gave me the impression that it is euphonic and an enjoyable listen.

I’m on the fence and might purchase one soon:)

Right now I listen with a NB Sr-Lambda and love it. It’s just not portable, or really dynamic...

I was thinking Hifiman Ananda because I didn’t really like the Arya at Canjam that much. I really liked listening with Susvara too!

Thanks in advance
